This article has just been updated with the latest offerings from Australia Post....  In a prior article Murray discussed carriers for hand transport of wine and glasses. In this follow up he looks at packaging wine for shipping further than your local restaurant.

A Very Handy Device (14 January)

 

Anyone who owns Riedel or similar sized glasses or users wine decanters, knows how difficult they are to wash, and how much space they take up when drying. From a personal perspective, I like rinsing them with very hot water and then letting them drip dry. The only problem is that if you have guests there tends to be a lot of washing-up, and drying space is at a premium. Some wine devices and gadgets are about as useful as tits on a bull but this device is a must for all wine lovers and solves the problem.

 

The Sat Nav GPS Winery Project  (1 August)

 

If you have a Sat Nav device, this will interest you. Victorian wine lover Dan Sawyer dreamed up this project when he bought a "TomTom” Satellite Navigation thingamajigie and has been furiously  inputting wine date. Hopefully it will evolve into a joint community project where you can download the files from this site.

Not great reading but neither is the Yellow Pages, however the summary on each site should be useful.
