Yarra Edge 2001 Pinot Oct 04

A single vineyard wine made by Yearing Station, it is more complex than its little brother and shows earth, straw, strawberry and restrained chocolate. Lean-weight, with a supple and soft consistency the complexity is agreeable. An off-sweet take up with underlying sweet raspberry/cheery, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and a capsicum like streak running through the wine, possibly from young vines. Rated as Recommended with ** for value.
