Yaldara Farms 99 Shiraz – July 02

Wine tried totally blind.

Nose dominated by sweet ripe red berry spectrum fruit, some American Oak notes and mint on the tail. After being open for awhile, the aroma started to be dominated by plums.

A muscular weight wine with big tannins showing good structure and balance. The savoury plummy and chocolate taste is Moorish. Rated as Acceptable with *** for value. The wine may improve over the next few years.
