I had been looking forward to trying this wine as there is not much under $30 that is eminently drinkable and this one had been well recommended. Lots of medium sized bubbles and whilst the bubble construction and balance of balance seems clumsy, the rest of the wine makes up for this short coming. Loads of rich, chocolately mulberry spectrum fruit with earthy oak mushroom characters are off-sweet and are more than a match for the layer of sweetness running below. A rare addition to the list of FRS wines that are not overly confected and have a RRP of less than $40; its worth buying and is rated as Recommended with **** for value.
