Villa Maria 2002 Pinot Oct 04

A gamey bouquet with nose tickling low level VA and chocolate. Tannins are unobtrusive, the acid crisp and the distinct fruit is intensly gamey with blackberry, chosolate and some underlying raspberry flavours that finishes with good persistence. Lean weight, it is long and has a well developed complexity. An interesting, appealing well made wine and if it improves as well as I hope it may, it will be very good. Rated as Recommended (with possible room for improvement.)
