Summerfield 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon VicFeb08 will sell for $23 when it is released on March 29 and is sealed under screwcap. The bouquet is restrained, with pleasantly perfumed black aromatics, mocha and eucalyptus. The palate shows noticeably toasty, charred oak over dark fruits, chocolate, and cigar box. It's savoury and finishes long and dry. It is ample-weight with a supple consistency that would have been better with less oak influence; rated as Recommended with *** for value.
