Torbreck 2003 The Struie
PlonkOz04
This wine was bottled a month
ago and in reality, too young to judge properly but it is a good wine; the only
question is how good and time will tell. Ripe, pure fruit jumps out of the glass
there is nothing the linear about this one, it's very fragrant and floral.
Blackberry, dark plum, dark chocolate, coffee and mint finish with a little
bitter character that that should dissipate with time. Pure, deep, strong fruit
and powdery tannins produce a muscular, firm, solid and incredibly tight wine
that has a well-developed diverse complexity. Rated as
Highly Recommended with ** for value, the
rating will probably increase as it reaches maturity about 2010 and beyond.
