Sutherlands Creek 2005 Pinot Sept 07

A brooding bouquet with black shoe polish, hints of mushroom and milk chocolate. The structure is tight and supported by silky tannins. Almost lean in weight, it has a supple consistency, and is seamless. With cherry and milk chocolate on the uptake, the mid-palate is dominated by light, dried green herbs with tailor off to spice; it finishes savoury, long and clean. Very similar to the previous vintage, it lacks the fruit generosity and complexity. Rated as Recommended, it is sealed with a Diam.
