St Huberts 2002 Cabernet
Sauvignon Oct 04
This was the best wine of the three tasted at this winery
which is not much of a recommendation. A touch of VA, cedar, cigar box,
blackberry and capsicum comprise the bouquet. Smooth, drying tannins, fresh acid
and persistent fruit buttresses a solid, firm wine of ample weight, and
agreeable complexity. On the palate, loads of capsicum drives right through the
palate and is contrasted by sweet blackcurrant and blackberry which finishes
with good persistence. Rated as Recommended with *** for value and drink from
2006+.
