St Huberts 2001 Cabernet Merlot Oct 04

An uninspiring wine with dusty cedar and sweet blackberry fruit with tobacco. On the palate, the obvious fruit shows blackberry, blackcurrant, an herbaceous streak and cigar box. Tannins are smooth, unobtrusive and well controlled and the acid lively. Medium-weight, the consistency is firm, the structure solid and the complexity uncomplicated. Rated as Agreeable with ** for value.
