Smallfry 2006 GSM July 07

The wine is sealed with a screwcap and is sourced from
(Vine Vale) Barossa fruit. Sweet candies fruit, raspberries, milk chocolate and a hint of gentle oak are found on the bouquet, but the palate is a surprise.  The flavour combination is pleasant; the sweet attack is followed by an off-sweet mid-palate with plum, chocolate and blackberry flavours, which are further enhanced by the fresh acid and peppery finish. The fruit is pure and offers excellent intensity of flavour. With its medium-weight, supple consistency, silky tannins, and harmonious complexity, it is a very drinkable, food friendly wine. Rated as Recommended with *** for value, it is one of the better GSM's around.
