Small Fry 2005 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Nov 06

The wine is sealed with a screwcap and is sourced from Eden Valley fruit. Like many red wines that have been sealed with a screwcap, the bouquet is reticent but it is obviously fruit driven with brambly characters, mint and milk chocolate. Ample-weight, the wine is well backed by powdery tannins and youthful acid. There is certainly nothing sweet or cloying about this wine; it shows brambly fruit, charred coffee oak and is intensely black in flavour. Rated as Recommended with *** for value, it's a well crafted wine and will be enjoyed by those that like black flavoured wines.
