A blend of 94% McLaren Vale and 6% Barossa fruit, it retails for about $25. Liquorish and blackberry on the nose are faithfully replicated on the palate and finish with good persistence. A very solid wine of ample-weight, the consistency is firm and the structure solid. It is a bit chunky and needs time to come together but it is worthy of consideration. Rated as Recommended with *** for value it should peak around 2007+ at which time the rating will probably improve.
