Purple in colour, the hue is clear, bright and vibrant. Although the nose was closed, it was classy and showed sweet vanillin French oak characters. A well-balanced wine with smooth, fine, tightly-grained tannins which back the pure, deep fruit to form a medium-weight, solid wine with tightly structured elegance. Blackcurrant, milk chocolate, mint, cold tea, cedar, a touch of cinnamon, and aniseed finishes dry. A refined drop that is worth buying, it is rated as Highly Recommended with *** for value, it should peak in 2008+.
