Quarterback 2006 SAMay08 will sell for $20 when it is released and is sealed under cork. This is a better wine than the 2005. The pure fruit is backed by just enough velvety tannins to hold this soft, seamless, harmonious wine together. It's ample-weight, easy drinking; a good food wine, it has been perfectly matched to the watching of football, even the Super Bowl. It's savoury on the uptake with a spicy mid-palate and dried herbs on the finish. Milk chocolate and all sorts of other goodies add to the complexity. Rated as Recommended with **** for value, it's perfectly drinkable now.
