Magpie Estate 2001 The Election Shiraz SA2003 is due for release in June and will be a bit over $50 retail. Already mispronounced (for good reason) by those that have tried it. A full bodied wine with smooth tannins providing a good mouth feel and balancing the strong pure distinctive fruit which also provides a harmonious developed complexity and solid layered structure. The black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry and chocolate fills the mouth and just keeps going forever finally finishing warm, but with all that fruit flavour its not extracted. Rated as Outstanding with *** for value its splendid drinking now but will get better over the next few years. This is a boot posterior vinous substance that will develop a sect following as it becomes known in the land of the free.
