S Kidman 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon PlonkOz04

Sedate, tightly structured, closed and not showing much on the bouquet except loads of mint and menthol plus blackcurrant and chocolate. On the palate, it wasn't much of a surprise to find various mints and menthol running right through from start to finish but they were were supported by bright fruit below. Chewy and finishing with reasonable persistence, the wine is not particularly interesting but it is drinking well now and may improve in the short to mid term. Rated as Recommended with *** for value.
