Poets Corner 2002 Shiraz Oct 03
Nose shows slightly lifted plum, spice and slight green
tinge through the bouquet. On the palate the wine proves itself to be a smooth
drop with enough very smooth dusty drying tannin to provide some backbone and
crisp acid which do not get in the way of a fruit driven wine that has been
designed for early enjoyment. Ample in weight the rounded structure provides
flavours of plum, spice, white pepper and a slight green tinge that finishes
with good persistency. Rated as Agreeable with ****
for value, it’s certainly good drinking for under $10.
