Orlando 2002 Trilogy Oct 04

Sealed in a ROTE closure. A dusty, leafy cabernet bouquet with medium intensity with some sweet underlying berry characters. Very much a varietal Cabernet blend,  it is medium in weight, the structure is good, the wine is well balanced with noticeable acid, dusty tannins and the fruit is on the lean side. Complexity of flavour is good for the level of the wine with an off-sweet attack of blackberry with a supporting lower level of contrasting sweet berry, chocolate and mint that finishes very dry and with good length. There is certain austerity to the wine that will appeal to those that like refined wines. Rated as Agreeable with **** for value, another winner from Orlando that is perfect for everyday drinking.
