Mountadam 2001 D.W. Shiraz PlonkOz04

A restrained, but extremely ripe bouquet is backed up by powdery tannins and strong fruit which delivers intense, blackberry fruit, almost prune in character, dark chocolate, liquorish, chocolate, and mint which finishes with excellent drying persistence. Complexity is a well-developed and the wine has loads of flavour. Rated as Recommended with *** for value, it should peak around 2007+.
