Mount Burrumboot 2002 Heathcote Shiraz PlonkOz04

The wine has an interesting flavour profile with a sweet hit which is well contrast to do with off-sweet blackberry and other black flavours. Ample in weight, the wine has a solid structure which is provided by the abundant, powdery and chewy tannins; in fact I think there is more tannin than the fruit can handle in the longer term. It's easy drinking now that I'm not sure that it has the fruit to last. Rated as Agreeable with *** for value.
