Meera Park 2001 Alexander Munroe Shiraz
PlonkOz04
An acquaintance of mine
recommended I try this wine and even though I'm not a great Hunter fan, I gave a
shot. The wine was matured in 40% new French oak and retails for about $45.
Smooth, powdery tannins provide a good mouth feel and well matched to the fruit.
The acid is bright and piquant. Ample-weight, the consistency is supple, the
structure solid but I did not enjoy the finish and found the flavour profile to
be disjointed. Rated as Recommended with ** for value.
