Longhop 2007 Shiraz June 08 sells for $15 and is sealed under screwcap. The bouquet shows some varnished characters/a hint of VA plum, liquorice, blackberry and milk chocolate. A clean and modern wine that sits well in the mouth, there are loads of black flavours including blackberry, aniseed, leather and dark chocolate/coffee, that all finish with reasonable persistence. Ample-weight with a supple consistency, there's not a lot on the back palate but it is a harmonious wine that will hold huge mass appeal. Personally, I find it boring but I will be in a minority. Rated as Agreeable with **** for value, drink over the next 5+ years.
