Longhop 2006 Shiraz June 07

The wine was hails from 'descendant" vines grown in the Adelaide Plains and is sealed under screwcap. The bouquet is expressive, showing youthful, perfumed violet aromatics, blue spectrum fruits, spicy/smoky oak with mocha and milk chocolate.  The palate is fruit driven but backed with unobtrusive tannins, and fill the palate with an off-sweet flavour profile including, s
pice, hints of black pepper,  blackcurrant, plum, dried green herbs, and mocha/milk chocolate. Ample-weight with an agreeable, diverse complexity this most juggable drop is rated as Recommended with **** for value and whilst its fine now (with a good decant,) it will be better in a year or two. Another great value winner for Torzi Matthews.
