Kilikanoon 2002 Killerman's
Run Shiraz Oct 04
The blackberry fruit and chocolate notes are overshadowed by
resinous, pine oak and mint. The bouquet is faithfully reproduced on the palate
with the edition of attractive plums but unfortunately the fruit which seems
good has been ruined by what appears to be cheap or bad oak treatment. Tannins
are smooth, well managed and provide a solid backbone and the wine has a good
mouth feel. Balance between fruit, acid and tannins are excellent and the wine,
whilst smooth now may be better with time if the unattractive oak is absorbed.
