The nose was closed but the quality was obviously there, but was just as obvious was the 130% new years the wine received during its 36 months in wood. A full-bodied wine with a firm structure and solid, tight structure and well developed complexity, it is a very youthful wine that need time. Deep, strong fruit is sufficient to balance the abundant oak tannins which are smooth, tight grained but obvious. A mouthful of sweet oak over beautiful sweet fruit that finishes long with terrific persistence, I must admit, I did not want to spit this wine. Rated as Excellent with *** for value, come back and visit in 2009 and beyond.
