Jane Moss is a Roseworthy graduate and related to the Moss Bros family in
Margaret River. This wine is made under her label. The bouquet exhibited slight
herbaceousness with subtle cigar box, and loads of plum, chocolate/coffee oak
and sweet berry fruit. Tannins are tight, powdery and smooth and provide a solid
backbone for this ample-weight supple wine with a simple but enjoyable
complexity. The bouquet is heavily influenced by attractive coffee and chocolate
oak flavours, together with herbaceous characters and a touch of cigar box. With
a big fine flavour punch, the persistence is reasonable but the length is
clipped; and with a recommended retail price of $20, this easy drinking wine is
rated as Agreeable with *** for value.
