Henschke 2001 Keyneton Oct 04
The bouquet is dominated by youthful, ripe fruit showing good
intensity with signs of toasty, mushroom oak. A good balance has been stuck
between the smooth dusty tannins and distinct, obvious fruit which delivers
cherry, sweet strawberry/raspberry, chocolate and liquorice. A very pleasant
drinking wine that will go well with food, it should improve in the short term
and then hold for years. Medium-weight, it has some elegance to its solid
structure and the consistency is firm yet supple. Rated as
Recommended with *** for value, the rating should improve in a couple of
years.
