Hardys 1995 Tintara Shiraz June 04

This is turning out to be a glorious wine, if only all wines that cost $25 were this good. Lifted aroma with aniseed, integrated dark berry fruit, milk chocolate and prominent eucalyptus. The solid wall of tannin backing the wine has softened nicely present a smooth wine that fills the palate with excellent complexity of flavour and finishes long with plum, cherry, star anise, and milk chocolate. The wine is well balanced, harmonious, and full bodied. Rated as Excellent. One of the best wines of 95, especially in terms of value.
