The first sniff is attractive that that attraction is reduced by the lifted alcohol spirit. Tannin management is excellent and besides providing a pleasant mouth feel it supports a solid structure and helps with the harmonious complexity. Ample-weight the wine is tight and shows some elegance. Black fruit, tar, liquorish and almost meaty flavours complete the package. After trying this wine, I scratched my head trying to work out what they were trying to achieve because in my opinion they have missed the mark. Rated as Highly Recommended with ** for value that that is only due to the excellent balance of the wine not the finished, overall result.
