Gipsie Jack 2004 Shiraz May 06
Sealed with a screwcap, this wine is made by John Glaetzer. The label states
"the wine is names after our beloved dog whose name is Gipsie and whom just
happens to be a Jack Russell, and Jack is also Irish for John, therefore this
wine displays the name of a true partnership between a man
and his dog. A delightful fruit driven, pristine nose exhibiting
plum, menthol, chocolate, and mint; as it opened earthy dark chocolate
characters dominated. Very-fine, almost unobtrusive powdery tannins support the
pure fruit. Perfectly balanced and with a seductive mouth feel and harmonious
complexity, its ready to go now. Muscular in weight; fruit driven and squeaky clean
with a very agreeable complexity it shows plum, blackberry, blackcurrant,
coffee, milk chocolate and mint, it's an easy-drinking wine that demands another
sip. Is it a great wine? No! Is it a greatly enjoyable drinking wine? You betcha!!
