Gibson 2003 Shiraz Oct 05
Coffee oak dominates sweet jube jube, earthy notes and vanilla; its seems quite
a complex bouquet. Not for the oak-a-phobic, coffee oak flavours over black
Barossan chocolate which seem even blacker due to the impact of the oak toast
level. Mouth feel
is attractive and the drying tannins support a solid structure;
ample-weight, the consistency is supple and finish shows good persistence.
Drinking well now, it will improve if the oak is eventually absorbed by the
fruit.
