Fox Gordon 2006 Hannah’s Swing Shiraz June 08 sells for $44.95 and is sealed under cork. Coffee oak, eucalyptus, menthol, and cigar box characters are found on the bouquet. This wine was hard to judge. It's obviously a high-quality drop but is not showing much at the moment except it's wonderful structure. It's well proportioned and harmonious. The brambly fruit delivers savoury plum, blackcurrant, star anise, a touch of eucalyptus, hints of dried green herbs on the back palate, and a touch of bitterness to finish. Its medium-weight, firm, solid, tight, elegant and should become seamless in time. Rated as Highly Recommended with *** for value, the rating should improve as the wine enters its peak drinking window between 2012 and 2020. Smooth!
