Fox Gordon 2006 By George Cabernet Tempranillo June 08 sells the $19.95 and is sealed under screwcap. The bouquet is earthy, gamey with hints of spicy oak. It sits well in the mouth and is backed by unobtrusive powdery tannins. It's savoury on the uptake with cherry that is slightly s, and together with blueberry flavours it finishes with dominant green tobacco like flavours. It's medium-weight with a supple consistency and an uncomplicated level of complexity, and whilst it is easy-drinking and food-friendly, the flavour profile seems a little disjointed. Rated as Agreeable with **** for value, drink over the next 4+ years.
