Flaxman Sparkling Shiraz Jan 09
The wine is food friendly and slips down disgustingly easily, but at room
temperature, the bouquet showed Brett like plastic Band-Aid notes, however it
was hardly noticeable on the palate. On the palate, its just lovely with loads
of bright fruit that delivers blackberry, mulberry, vanilla, and strong aniseed,
which finishes on a long, dry finish. The finish is slightly steely when warm.
Liqueured with fortified Shiraz, and has a well-developed complexity. Rated as
Highly Recommended.
