Elderton 1998 Shiraz Aug 04

Nose shows vanilla, chocolate, mushroom and a hint of menthol.

A well balanced, big wine with dusty soft tannins and stuffed full of blackberry, dark chocolate, aniseed and mint that cascade through the palate with waves of intense flavour that finishes with excellent persistence and good length. Perfect now but should hold for a few years. Rated as Highly Recommended.
