Deep Woods Estate 2002 Shiraz Aug 04 (Margaret River)

Another winery I knew nothing about only this one has been going as a family concern for about 18 years. The bouquet holds interest with subtle coffee, oak hints and milk chocolate. Tannins show a soft extraction and provide a supple consistency. Pure fruit delivers coffee, chocolate, spice and plum all of which is subtle but reasonably persistent. medium in weight, the complexity is well developed and the wine harmonious. An easy drinking, clean well made wine with lively acid that contributes a bit of zip to hold ones interest. Rated as Recommended with **** for value.
