Deep Woods Estate 2001
Boneyard Aug 04 (Bordeaux Blend)
After an unexciting Cabernet Merlot, this one restored my
faith in their ability to make a good Cabernet blend. This is a smart, well
made, quality, clean wine that just needs time to show its best. Chocolate,
blackcurrant, cold tea, cigar box, milk chocolate all finish with drying
persistence. Ultra-fine, unobtrusive tannins combine with fresh acid and pure
fruit to provide a firm but supple consistency, a solid structure and
harmonious, medium weight package. Rated as
Highly Recommended with *** for value, the rating should increase as
the wine matures around 2009+.
