Coriole 1998 Shiraz Aug 04
The bouquet shows a fair amount of VA which did not blow off
initially and the underlying fruit was broody and showed little except rich
chocolate and dark fruit. Abundant, chewy tannins are smoothing out nicely but they
still a little chalky and very noticeable. Chocolate, blackberry, plum/bordering
on prune, a spicy mid palate and mint flavors have adequate persistence. The
wine still need another few years to show its best. Rated as Recommended.
