Coldstream Hills 2001 Limited Pinot Oct 04

Lifted to the level the wine has a touch of VA, the bouquet is slightly funky with earthy, cherry, milk chocolate and mint. Tannins are smooth but there are enough to hold it together and combine with the persistent, deep fruit and fresh acid to form a medium-weight wine with a supple consistency and developed complexity. A very drinkable wine, the cherry, plum and chocolate flavours are assisted by a clean acid finish. Drink from 2006+, the wine is rated as Recommended with *** for value at $21.50 which is the CD dozen price.
