Classic McLaren 2000 La Testa Cabernet Sauvignon Jan 05

An inviting, complex and tight bouquet showing mocha, earthy notes, a very slight alcoholic lift, a hint of menthol, chocolate, and dark berry fruits.  A very solid, well build the wine with fine grained chewy tannins and deeply seated persistent fruit that finishes long and dry.  Ample-weight, the wine is classy and although it's drinking reasonably well now, it will continue to improve many years. Palate follows the nose with a combination of sweet and bittersweet flavours.  Rated as Excellent.
