Ciavarella Oxley Estate 2002 Cabernet Merlot Aug 04

Attractive, off sweet and spicy bouquet shows lifted characters with blackcurrant, coco, earthy compost and mint but there are some other berry flavours wafting in and out. The initial flavour to hit the palate is a wave of green mint followed by ripe berry fruit, coco and chocolate but the pervading flavour seems to be mint. Tannins are soft and the wine is very approachable. Rated as Acceptable with ** for value, I could not taste it more than twice.
