Burton 2001 Limestone Coast
Cabernet PlonkOz04
An attractive nose, there is
tons of sweet blackcurrant fruit with a tube of spearmint toothpaste thrown in.
A clean wine, the fruit is attractive, ripe with reasonable varietal
characteristics but a little thin for the drying powdery tannins. Medium-weight,
the consistency is firm, structure solid and the complexity agreeable. Rated as
Acceptable with *** for value.
