Brokenwood 2002 Wade Block Shiraz Oct 04
The wine was matured in American oak and shows vanilla, white
pepper and tolerable level dusty, toasted oak. Chew oak tannins, youthful acid
and distinct fruit combine to produce an ample-weight solid wine that is well
balanced but does not have the class of the Rayner. Sweet plums, off-sweet
blackberry, pepper, almost prune level fruit and vanillin oak and dill produce a
developed complexity. Rated as Recommended with ** for value.
