Bremerton 2001 Selkirk Shiraz
PlonkOz04
The first bottle seemed a bit suspect
and showed ripe, raspberry/strawberry character and mint so a second bottle was
opened which was decidedly different from the first and showed a reasonable
quantity of chary oak. The palate follows the nose with milk chocolate and a
hint of spice and there is enough fruit to absorb the char. Ample in weight, the
wine has a supple consistency and a solid structure; it's easy drinking and
should peak in the very near future. Rated as
Recommended with *** for value, it's all right.
