Best 1998 Bin 0 Shiraz December 05

A ripe, fruit driven bouquet with offsetting underlying spice and mineral notes.  Linear, silky-smooth tannins are resolving well and are almost seamless already. Medium-weight, the wine glides across the palate and finishes with adequate persistence.   Whilst it is still tight and maintains much of its primary fruit characters,  it needs more time to gain aged characters. Off-sweet on the uptake, the mid palate shows sweet cherry fruit with milk chocolate which tails off with mineral and earthy notes. Rated as Excellent.
