The first bottle from a six-pack, I was keen to try this wine. The bouquet showed iodine, flint, coffee and chocolate. A medium-weight wine of impeccable balance; the tannins are resolving well and the wine finishes with excellent persistence and very good length. There is some sweetness, but his brilliantly offset by off-sweet flavours and fresh acid. Whilst the wine has a black flavour profile, there is nothing overripe about it; chocolate, blackberry, flint, mulberry, plum and a touch of mint completes the package. Rated as Excellent, it has just entered into its drinking window.
