This wine hails from Peter Goddon (of AWRI fame) from fruit grown in the Adelaide Hills. The bouquet is attractive with floral rose petal characters, milk chocolate and tar. Profuse, tightly-grained, dusty tannins are well matched to the deep fruit to build a seriously structured, ample-weight, solid, tight drop with a diverse complexity. Cherry, sour cherry, earthy, star anise and milk chocolate completes the profile. A high quality wine that demands time, it is rated as Highly Recommended with ** for value; drink from 2011+; the wine is sealed with a screwcap.
