Lets face it, we all like to get good wine at great prices. Many of these wines I have tried and are happy to recommend, some are difficult to obtain.

Direct from small wineries

Winter Creek  - sensation fruit driven, hand crafted wines of excellence; refined, quality and sensibly priced.

Marius Wines - single vineyard, high quality wines at a fantastic prices.

Picardy  - another single vineyard (cool climate WA) producer making very high quality wines at great prices.

Torzi Matthews - doesn't know how to make bad wine; terrific for the price.

Kurtz Family Wines - the wines are right back on form and mention TORBWine to get "mates rates."

Smallfry - a new micro producer who is worth watching. The wines are well made and reasonably priced.

Thomas Vineyard  Estate - single vineyard wines, very high quality, over-delivers on price, especially the standard Shiraz.

Special Honourable Mention

Kaesler Wines - has the best overall line-up of wines in the Barossa. Some of their wines are not exactly inexpensive, but when you pay $100 or $120 for a bottle of wine from here, its bloody well worth it. Their lower cost wines are high quality and reasonably priced.

Mailing Lists Worth Buying From - if you can get on them!

Other

Gemtree -  the Uncut Shiraz is stunning value and the Obsidian a wonderful wine.

Penley Estate -  the best value in Coonawarra. Wines can often be found on special at retail, making them even better buying.

Warrabilla Wines  - the reds are of heroic proportions, are reasonably priced and the wine club offers tremendous value.
