This site is not trying to flog you anything but as I am obsessed with Australia’s fine vinous opaque substances, (red plonk) it is my sincere hope that you will join me in this compulsion.  

The site is completely free and totally independent. It contains no advertising or commercial content and is free of vested interests. There are no wine sales, no forum, and hopefully you will find the content useful. 

Tasting notes – over the years I have made thousands of tasting notes and almost 3,000 of them have been loaded into a searchable database. In some cases there are multiple notes for the same wine so you can see how it’s progressing as it ages.

New release wines – Many wineries send their Latest Release wines for me to write up and on my trips, I frequently try wines that are Yet to be Released. All these are can be found in the Tasting Notes Section.

Wines not to buy - Unlike many writers, I will post tasting notes of all wines sampled even if they are substandard, because I feel it’s just as important to know, what not purchase as it is to know what to buy.

Tour Diaries - The most read section on the site. Each Tour Diary as a whole is an epic journey so they are broken up into chapters for easy reading. Follow the adventures of TORB as he wanders around the country trying the best wines the nation has to offer.

Daily News – The news section is updated daily, or when ever necessary; it covers wine stories that may be of interest to Australian wine lovers.

Weekly Articles – With my track record in spelling it's lucky I didn’t spell that weakly articles. Most weeks I post a short article about things vinous. If you want to see some examples, there are lots of them in the Past Articles section. Smaller thoughts and snippets are located in the Drops 'n Dregs Section.

Feature Stories – These are published as the mood dictates. Generally, they are fairly lengthily and cover topics of interest to all wine lovers. 

Irregular Update – You can  subscribe to the “Irregular Update” which will advise you when new “stuff” is posted on the site. It’s worth subscribing so you won’t miss out on any new information.

Plus a whole lot more (including the usual spelling mistakes and occasional bloopers!) Naturally it will all be red and no c-through content will be permitted (FROG Bubbles and stickies excepted.)
